So you want to lose weight? Why do you want to and how do you see you and your life when you lose weight?Vision

You see losing weight and keeping weight off is very much about changing your mindset. If you want to change your mindset you have to know where you are going to go or what the results of changing your mindset will be.

People want to lose weight for numerous reasons but often are not specific about the reason. Often this is because if they do get specific it may become too confronting. For example a person may want to lose weight because they do not like the way they look. O.K but what’s underneath that? Is it because they think that people are talking about them and it is embarrassing or is it because they feel that by being overweight they have no confidence. Get specific about why you want to lose weight, it is your reason and nobody else’s so it’s not wrong.

Once you are clear about why you want to lose weight get clear on how you and your life is going to be with the weight loss, your vision. What is it that you want by losing weight? What don’t you want by not losing weight? Most people can easily give you a list of what they do not want but struggle when it comes to what they do want. Write the list of what you do and do not want and make it the same length to balance it. If it is not written down it is a wish and you are not committed.

When you write down why you want to lose weight, why you want to lose weight and what you do not want you will find the process of losing weight much easier. Every time you are tempted to cheat bring your vision up in your mind and you will find it easy to stay on the path of weight loss.
